(Closed) The Liberty Bell Temple (LBT) is located in Silverlake and is easily accessible from the 5 Freeway; Glendale Blvd. exit. More specifically, they are on Hyperion Ave., behind King Burrito, near a Pink Berry at the corner Hyperion and Rowena. There are two meters on the street, and there is side-street parking. There is also a small-to-mid-sized lot between King Burrito and LBT. They prefer to keep these spots available for the many seriously ill and krippled patients who come through here. If you cannot find other parking and find it necessary to park in the King Burrito lot, you should probably buy a drink or a burrito. The entrance to the lot/driveway has a sign on the gate that says Liberty Bell Temple. It was kinda hard to read at night during our first visit, but we figured it out and followed the driveway up to a gate that separates the lot from another small parking area and the entrance to The Temple.

One of the two very friendly and armed security guards greeted us at the front door, which was more like a back door, that lead into a cozy reception office. The verification person took care of us no problemo. There was a computer with a monitor that was facing so we could see it. They played a clip of LBT's recent appearance on NBC News for us. This place is especially different from many other clubs. We think it was a house, which was converted into what it is now, or maybe something different before it was a cannabis sanctuary. The entire place had wood paneled walls and some funky carpet that we temporarily lost a sample nug on because of the camouflage thing that was goin on. A door does not separate the medication and verification rooms. This place has a very welcoming, relaxing, chill vibe and good security. It is dimly lit and the warmth of the place makes it feel more a giant cannabis den than a temple. Now would probably be a good time to mention the owner's enormous bear of a d-o-double-g, Dibo. Dibo makes frequent trips to the medication room, but do not worry because he is as friendly as he is ginormous. Dibo is so chill that he has the uber strain named after him, Dibo's OG. Might be the first well-known strain to be named after a dog. We got the last of it. Consider yourself lucky if they have more when you visit!

When you enter the medication room at the Liberty Bell Temple, there is a big antiquelike wood bookcase on the left and a display of meds to the right. The bookcase contains shirts, hats, smoking accessories, books, and other paraphernalia. The medication is placed out on top of a giant table to the right. You can look at and smell everything. Two staff members sit behind the table, are happy and able to answer all of your questions, and they will weigh out your meds in front of you when you make a decision. All of the many hashes and strains were lined up in jars and out in the open. Organized by price, we saw soooo many super dank buds and hashes for extremely compassionate prices. Flowerz ranged $10-20 a gram and $30-55 an 8th. Hash ranged from $15-35 for some full-melt. We purchased some meds here because the price was great and so was the quality. Left with some Dibo's OG (mentioned above), some XXX OG, and Jack Herer. They were all $55 an 8th and were more than worth every penny. They also had some ill Skywalker, Blackberry Kush, Trainwreck, Blue Dream, and Dutch Dynamite.

There was a nice selection of edibles at LBT. There were lollipops, pastries from Grandma Anonymous, Raw Vegan Chocolates, Raw Peanut Butter Vegan Chocolates, PB and J, and they even occassionally have Nice Cream Ice Cream. Look in the fridge to the right of the medication table. The selection really is fantastic and the prices are splendidly compassionate. They even get more compassionate with the pricing for the many good people who come through the door with serious medical conditions. The staff at LBT is active in fighting for reform. They not only raise money for fine causes like the ODM Legal Defense Fund, Children's Hospital and the Patient Advocacy Network, but we have also seen them at some of the medical cannabis protests.

Just when you thought it could not get any better...the medication here is so dank you probably will not want to wait until you get home to medicate. Check out their medicating "ultra" lounge. Equipped with a Volcano vaporizer, various smoking accessories and a plethora of Gnob Bongs, you will definitely have options regarding how you choose to medicate. There is an old couch facing a big plasma screen/entertainment system and water cooler. They usually bump some chill tunes through here that can be heard throughout the entire place. Definitely try the bong (or should we say "waterpipe"). These guys manufacture and sell Gnob, formerly known as iLLadelph.

In conclusion, the Liberty Bell Temple is the chronic. These guys have been servicing patients and various locations throughout Los Angeles and even Northern California for a long time. We highly recommend giving this place a visit. The staff is chill. It is safe. Prices are compassionate. Medication is top quality. Make sure to mention this review. Tell them how awesome you think Weed Connection is!!! We know you will not be disappointed. One more thing, they had the gnarliest OG clones we have ever seen for only $15 each. They were in perfect health with huge leaves and great color. Visit the Liberty Bell Temple of Silverlake, Los Angeles, California and keep medicating!
