(Visit AHHS Across the Street) The Farmacy is one of the many places on Santa Monica Blvd to get your medical marijuana. They are located right on the Santa Monica in a big yellow buidling. They are pretty much impossible to miss. The parking here is a bit difficult. They don\'t really have a lot and you have to usually find a metered spot on the street. The front door was unlocked and ajar when we arrived. Once inside I was impressed by how big the place was. Basically they split it into two large rooms with a divider between the reception room and medication room. They had 3 people just up at the reception desk. They had 3 large couches to sit on and lots of cool artwork up on the walls. The staff here took quite a while with my paper work and asked alot of questions. They were the first co-op to make me disclose my medical condition to the receptionist and they have quite a few rules they go over with you as well. They do have handicap access here and there is also an ATM on site. They also have 2 security guards on site.
Once inside the medication room you are greeted by various display cases and numerous employees. Everything is really spread out at this co-op. They really had a lot of different items to choose from. I saw all kinds of edibles and concentrates. They actually had a printed menu that gets updated everyday for people to look at. They also have plenty of chairs to wait in when things get too busy. The medication here was just alright. Nothing really stood out to me and the strains I saw were mostly mid-grade. They had a big selection but not very many notable names or strains. The pricing here was pretty good. I saw a few 1/8ths for under $50. I was pretty dissapointed with the quality. A lot of the stuff lacked any smell or potency.
What I really didn\'t like about the Farmacy was the way they seemed to herd patients in and out of the medication room. You have to give them a ticket when you first walk in then they kind of hound you to buy something. They didnt really even give me a chance to browse before making me decide what I wanted. Really poor customer service. These guys had a few deals going on. They do 25% off for new patient refferal, 25% off if you have your SSI paperwork, and 10% off if you came to the shop via alternate transportation (ie: bike or skateboard). As a new patient who brought another new patient with me, I asked if I could get $5 dollars off my purchase. They said no. This seemed a bit strange to me and kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Not very compassionate! Anyways this place was one I wont be going back to again. Subpar meds and subpar service are not cool with me. There are better co-op\'s on Santa Monica for sure.
