(Closed) Organica is located in Venice on Washington Blvd. near Lincoln
Blvd. It is not too far from the 405 Freeway Washington exit and it is even closer
to the beach. You will spot this place easily given you follow these simple directions:
1) Cruise through Venice along Washington Blvd., 2) Look for the Starbucks on
Washington Blvd. Directly across the street you will find ORGANICA!!! There are
two signs, facing both directions of street traffic, on the ground where the sidewalk
meets the well-sized parking lot. The lot has bunch of plants in it and almost
resembles a nursery (where plants are sold... they have a variety of clippings
here). There are also meters on the street; however, as to avoid being ticketed,
we advocate using parking lots when available. A glass door, which is usually
wide open, leads into a cozy little hardwood floored waiting/verification room.
Above the door is some chill custom stained glasswork that says "Organica."
It looks awesome at night, from the outside, with light on the inside shining
through from behind the translucent and vibrantly colored glass. There is a table
with some flyers and there is some art along with various credentials hanging
on the walls. Communicating through the thick verification window was rather difficult,
however, the exceptional staff was able to figure out the problem we were having
with my online verification. Once you have been verified here, you gain access
to their private web site, which they will explain. Although, it is prolly best
to spend your online time browzin the Weed Connect!
Holy motha of Mary Jane they fit a lot of stuff into this medication room!! As
you enter, along the left wall, you will find two comfy leather chairs (which
I sat in while I took a ton of notes for this review), then a bookcase which holds
a ton clones, followed by t-shirts hanging from the wall, and a fan. Directly
in front of you, on the back wall, is a door to back office, an ATM, four menu
boards, and a series of four display cases, which round the corner and span the
width of the wall on the right. To the right of where you enter from, before the
display cases is a display of infamous bud books minus one that has yet to be
published, the Weed Connection book. I acquired some reading material here, well
pretty much the entire collection including: The Emperor Wears No Clothes by Jack
Herer, The Cannabible set by Jason King, two editions of The Big Book of Buds
by Ed Rosenthal, and a few other books by Jeff Ditchfield, Greg Green, Jorge Cervantes,
Bliss Cameron, and Veronica Greene.
The menu board on the back wall breaks the strains down by price. Grams range
from $10-30, 8ths range from $35-80, and half ounces range from $125-260. There
are specials on various ounces. The 56 unique strains lined up in alphabetical
order, inside little nug jars, on top of the display cases left me drooling (not
literally) as I took a phat whiff of and peeped all the flowerz . This is how
it should be!!! There were fresh samples nugs of each flower right there for you
to inspect. Each jar is labeled by strain name and some of the premiere flowerz
have a "super" label or "name" label, indicating that staff
members favorite, on the lids. Staff picks include Grand School, Diamond Widow,
Pure Kush, and Strawberry Something (which I thought smelled very yummy). Almost
all 56 strains looked and smelled incredible! They also had some ok OG, and some
"super" labeled Oakland OG and Death Star OG. It is funny how a lot
of the clubs have various Star Wars related strain names for top strains. There
has been Skywalker, Purple Skywalker, I just saw some Jedi OG, and now we have
the "Death Star OG." Love it! Cept the force is really with the King
Kush!!! Took in each flowerz distinctive aroma and the KING KUSH caught my nose
fo sho!!! The nose knows and I guess my nose has expensive taste cuz this ish
was HIGHEST (most ridiculously) priced $30/g and $80/8th. Most clubs with 56 strains
do not have them out for display like this. After close scrutiny of many other
clubs claiming large selections, you will find they are just different variations
of the same plant. Everything here is very different and very much the chronic.
There is something for every taste and every budget!
They do not just sell flowerz at Organica. This place carries tons of edibles
including Califorganic Honey and Peanut Butter, Danky's Vegan Fudge and Oatmeal
Cookies, Big Sexy's Heavenly Crumbs and Rice Krispie Treats, the full line of
The Bakeries Teas, and Space Cake. Small glass pieces range in price from $5-40
and they had some really nice bubblers for only $30. They also have some bongs,
candles, b-line, grinders, scales, pipe screens, SEEDS (10 for $100 on various
strains), a few types of clones $10-30, and various brands of rolling papers.
They carry Randy's papers here, which I have not seen in a while. Randy's have
a little wire in them which makes for easy passing. Sometimes they run, but if
you twist tight doobies then it should not be a problem. Organica also has a variety
of extracts, kif, ear wax and hash. The hash tray had some stuff called moon rocks
and gold schmear...let us know if you try either. There were at least 5 or 6+
hashes for various prices. The selection here is beyond words...in fact I can
keep going, but I am getting sick of typing, this review is ill enough already,
and I need to medicate.
Aside from having an amazing selection, this place gives me a great vibe. There
are plants everywhere and the entire ceiling in the medication room painted like
stoner Michaelangelos Sistine Chapel piece with a world map, which is bordered
by the galaxy, two fingers touching like the real thing, and tons of other surprises.
You can stare at the ceiling almost as long as you can play with all of the medz
here...a really really long time! Kudos to the artist! Must be your masterpiece.
The staff is uber doober friendly and definitely knows their medz. I went to 10
clubs within 24 hours of visiting this place and can confidently say this was
the best. Organica will rock your world. I GUARANTEE YOU WILL ENJOY THEIR SELECTION!
Give ORGANICA a try and tell them you read this review!!! Cannot wait to refill
my prescription here (they also deliver)!!! Keep medicating!!!
