The Holland House is located on Ventura Blvd. in Sherman
Oaks. Situated between Van Nuys Blvd. and Woodman Ave., this place is easy to
find... between Ralphs and McDonalds, on the other side of the street. There are
both meters and free valet parking out front. Make sure to bring your valet stub
in for validation. The street level entrance/door opens up to a staircase that
leads up to this club. At the top of the stairs is a really nice glass door with
the HH logo etched into it. There is another door on other side of this door that
you get buzzed in and through to the waiting room. There is a small verification
window and around the corner is the waiting room.
The waiting room, and pretty much the whole dispensary have an uber chic feeling
and design going on. It was also very clean and new. The maroon walls, and fancy
woodwork give this place an upscale mood. Having just recently opened, January
3rd 2009, we are very impressed with how well setup and moved in these guys are.
The fish tank, stone/bamboo fountain, and tunes jamming through their sound-system
(starting when you enter the first door) really put out a chill and relaxing vibe.
This is a happy place fo sho! Verification was quick and painless and we were
buzzed through another set of double doors and into the medication room in no
time. Just going though the hallway and waiting room, We knew we were in for a
treat.
The medication room blew our minds. This place is really sweet. The weed bar/display
case is made from hand carved wood and imported from India. There is a larger
fish tank (with more custom woodwork), a bookshelf with cards, flyers, and cannabis
related publications. There are some leather chairs to chill in and a plasma screen
that is usually playing television or movies. The medication room also has a window
view of Ventura Blvd. as this 2nd floor destination faces the front of the building
towards the street.
The selection at The Holland House is mid-sized, but they are new. I have no doubt
that they will be carrying all sorts of stuff as soon as business picks up. There
were probably about 30 to 40 strains to choose from. Pricing ranges from $40-65
for most 8ths and they always have at least one strain for under $30... it was
snocap during our first visit... not our cup of tea, but the Kush was dank. The
Holland House Platinum and Super OG looked, smelled, and tasted "super"
dank! We were also rather impressed with the taste and quality of our bowl pack
of Magic topped with some full-melt hash. They also had a few edibles, concentrates,
hash oil, and some smoking accessories.
For a new co-op this place has got it going on! We recommend you give them a visit,
mostly just to check out how awesome their gig is. The staff was really friendly
and we cannot wait to see what more they can do with the Holland House. Check
them out, tell them you read this review, and keep on medicating!!!
